The USS Arizona (BB-39) and the USS Pennsylvania (BB-38) are American battleships of the Pennsylvania class. Both ships were built during the First World War. The Arizona was sunk during the attack on Pearl Harbor; today, a memorial dedicated to the sailors who lost their lives stands above the wreckage. The Pennsylvania took part in the Pacific campaigns until the end of the Second World War. After the war, it was destroyed during the nuclear tests of Operation Crossroads.
