The USS Arizona is a battleship that was launched during the Great War. The ship was modernised whilst in service.

The Arizona was present in Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack on 7 December 1941. A catastrophic explosion occurred on board the ship during the raid. The crew were killed and the ship sank, becoming a symbol of the Japanese attack. The wreck of the battleship was never salvaged. The parts of the superstructure protruding above the water’s surface were removed, leaving only the barbette of the third main gun turret. In 1962, the USS Arizona Memorial was opened on the wreck.
